As there are many fake products such as fake pen-drives, fake HDD and what not.

We encounter one victimized customer who got very cheap type of HDD (WD 1TB). There was nothing wrong with the outside surface and also it detects as 1TB of WD HDD. Also, it let us copy the data till 1TB as its size shows 1Tb but it never actually copies the data it just creates folder structure.

The surprise was there that when it comes to data recovery we open the HDD and you will not believe what we found out. Nothing but gummed 128KB of pen-drive along with one hard stone. Yes, the hard stone just to maintain the weight of HDD.

It was our rightful duty to aware you all when you find such a cheap HDD just try and check the vibration of the spinning motor just to ensure that your are not getting fooled.
